.Herein we describe the synthesis and properties of a new class of polymers based on thiazole units. Thiazole systems are obtained for condensation of acetophenone with urea in presence of bromine as mild oxidant. The subsequent copulation with N,N-diethanolamine brought to the cromoforic system. The recorded large solvatochromic effect is indicative of great nonlinear response of molecular systems. Polymers were obtained for condensation with 2,4-tolylendiisocianate. Polymers show high glass transition and decomposition temperature, respectively 220°C and higher than 300°C.

Abstract
.Herein we describe the synthesis and properties of a new class of polymers based on thiazole units. Polymers show high glass transition and decomposition temperature, respectively 220°C and higher than 300°C.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
