This paper shows the preliminary results of a study about the correlation aspects among the parametric maps of SINTACS system. More SINTACS applications have been considered as test-sites on coastal belts Italian Peninsula. Modifications to the available standard were experimented leading to new protocols more appropriate for the surveyed areas. Pearson correlation coefficient is used as an analysis tool to validate consistency of SINTACS parameters for the studied areas. A Matlab® routine has processed all the possible combinations of couples of non-weighted matrixes, recognizing similarity and/or singularity grades. Aim is to propose the elimination of parameters affected by redundancy in vulnerability assessment.

Abstract
