The preservation of architectural and environmental heritage of the city of Naples is a topic that involves different issues, not only related to the deterioration of the buildings, but also to a widespread social and economic decay, that lowers the quality of the life and the level of safety, undermining the productive activities. It is necessary to hope that the restoration works planned by local institutions will be based on a cognitive project, characterized by a multidisciplinary approach at different scales, including metric, material, structural, historical and socio-economic analyses. It is especially desirable that the interventions will be able to produce conversions in terms of economic and social impact: so, not only preservation and recovery of the architectures, to increase the touristic incomes, but also identification of new functions, compatible with the city context, able to increase the compactness of the historical city, in contrast with the tendency of a urban condition spread over a large territory. For this reason it is necessary to analyze carefully the future scenarios of "disurbanization", proposing programs able to recover the cultural, immaterial and use values of the historic city.

Abstract
For this reason it is necessary to analyze carefully the future scenarios of "disurbanization", proposing programs able to recover the cultural, immaterial and use values of the historic city.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
