The main objective of this paper is to highlight the recent contradictions that have emerged as a result of an evaluation of scientific journals in the area of statistics carried out by some committees and scientific societies (including ANVUR, GEV13, SIS, VQR). The presence of the different evaluations attributed to different scientific journals shows that the various committees base their assessment on statistical and informatics indicators instead of on objective parameters (accepted or agreed upon) and shared by the scientific community in the field of statistics. A proposal for the creation of a synthetic indicator concludes the present work.
