The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of some schools of higher education. The data used are taken from a survey which school bodies are conducting in the Campania Region. It is a pilot survey which will be extended as soon as the data are available. In the survey information was collected, attributes about the environment, territorial context and economic resources. The methodology was followed by using the stochastic frontier methodology and a statistical Tobit regression model is presented and discussed in order to analyze which factors might influence efficiency.
