Among the known nucleic acids structures, G-quadruplexes display an unprecedented structural variability never observed so far in nucleic acids. Thus, one of the main aims of this research project is the identification of drug-like molecules capable to discriminate between different DNA folding topology, including different DNA G-quadruplex foldings. The second main aim of the project is the discovery of new RNA G-quadruplex binders to be used in anticancer therapy. This is a rather unexplored field.

Abstract
Among the known nucleic acids structures, G-quadruplexes display an unprecedented structural variability never observed so far in nucleic acids. Thus, one of the main aims of this research project is the identification of drug-like molecules capable to discriminate between different DNA folding topology, including different DNA G-quadruplex foldings. The second main aim of the project is the discovery of new RNA G-quadruplex binders to be used in anticancer therapy. This is a rather unexplored field.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
