The purpose of this essay is an investigation about the epistemological status of the dream. In the modernity it has been defined with some difficulty, but starting from the differentiation between logic and desire, interpretations closer to a logical status have arisen. The concept of «hysterical identification», as developed by Sarantis Thanopoulos, highlights the role of desire in the construction of the identity, which necessarily needs a certain number of painful separations.

Abstract
The purpose of this essay is an investigation about the epistemological status of the dream. In the modernity it has been defined with some difficulty, but starting from the differentiation between logic and desire, interpretations closer to a logical status have arisen. The concept of «hysterical identification», as developed by Sarantis Thanopoulos, highlights the role of desire in the construction of the identity, which necessarily needs a certain number of painful separations.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
