Gender-based violence is a major health, social, and human rights issue in the global context. The perpetuation of this violence is determined by the presence of gender models holders of inequalities that are affected by the historical-cultural evolution of the male and female model: gender roles and expectations, male rights, sexual objectifications and power discrepancies and status are at stake. A multidimensional and ecological approach to gender-based violence is widely suggested by the WHO, which draws attention both to the cultural dimensions and the gender role based on unequal power and to the role and responsibility of all communities (Di Napoli et al., 2019). Qualitative research was carried out with men undergoing Codice Rosso treatment. Codice Rosso is an Italian law 69/2019-Art.6 provides for the conditional suspension of the sentence for perpetrators subject to participation in recovery courses. The research aims to explore the history of violence, the gender model they hold, and the motivations that push them to adhere to the treatment. Moreover, the implications and considerations of the first evidence of the application of the Codice Rosso regarding the methods of management and conduct of treatments for perpetrators of violence will be discussed.

Abstract
Moreover, the implications and considerations of the first evidence of the application of the Codice Rosso regarding the methods of management and conduct of treatments for perpetrators of violence will be discussed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
