This text aims to underline the importance of a quality, inclusive and universal education as one of the most powerful tools and fundamental human right in achieving sustainable development. Besides exploring the juridical nature of the right to education, it highlights the impacts of globalization on the way knowledge is conveyed to further conclude with the utility of emerging Communication Technologies (ICTs) in facilitating access to all levels of education.
