In this study, the vibrational analysis of cylindrical helical gears has been addressed. Accelerometric signals were acquired for various gears rotational speeds, both under lubricated and dry gear conditions. Through a time-frequency approach, it was possible to discriminate between the two different operating conditions and observe how impacts between teeth are concentrated at high frequencies. The aim of this study is to provide a methodology for the condition monitoring of gears.

Abstract
In this study, the vibrational analysis of cylindrical helical gears has been addressed. Accelerometric signals were acquired for various gears rotational speeds, both under lubricated and dry gear conditions. Through a time-frequency approach, it was possible to discriminate between the two different operating conditions and observe how impacts between teeth are concentrated at high frequencies. The aim of this study is to provide a methodology for the condition monitoring of gears.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
