Recently, the concept of Distributed Synthetic Aperure Radar (DSAR) has been introduced to overcome the limits of a single monolithic SAR satellite, thanks to the possibility to exploit several smaller platforms, like Cubesats. Time and phase synchronization aspects represent an open question in this field, in particular when an illuminator of opportunity is exploited. For this purpose, a simulation environment has been developed to produce suitable data used to test specific algorithms tackling the problem at image level.

Abstract
