Treated soils used in geotechnical applications undergo periodic wetting-drying cycles owing to the alternation of the rainy and dry seasons, affecting their mechanical behaviour and performance. The effects of wetting and drying cycles on the mechanical behaviour of Lightweight Cemented Soils are investigated in the present study; wetting and drying cycles were performed in climatic chamber on LWCS samples before mechanical testing. The results showed the influence of suction on mechanical performance of LWCS.

Abstract
Treated soils used in geotechnical applications undergo periodic wetting-drying cycles owing to the alternation of the rainy and dry seasons, affecting their mechanical behaviour and performance. The effects of wetting and drying cycles on the mechanical behaviour of Lightweight Cemented Soils are investigated in the present study; wetting and drying cycles were performed in climatic chamber on LWCS samples before mechanical testing. The results showed the influence of suction on mechanical performance of LWCS.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
