Abstract

Due to the growing sophistication of healthcare systems, risk management has emerged as a vital aspect for achieving patients’ safety, efficiency of operations, and sturdiness of organizations. This study analyzes current risk management models in the healthcare sector, discusses their advantages and disadvantages, and, in turn, suggests an improved, holistic approach toward risk management that fits the modern tendencies in the healthcare segment. Through both qualitative and quantitative methods, the study employs interviews and surveys to evaluate current models and create a new model that uses advanced analytics to prevent risks before their occurrence and manages them efficiently during their lifetime including engineering for resilience. The results demonstrate that while these models are functional, the issue of risk in the present healthcare views which is dynamic and multifaceted is somewhat ignored. This model bridges the gap between risk management the organization of activities and the major strategic issues of risk management in medicine at the levels of security of patients, organizational processes, and healthcare quality, efficiency. The importance of the need for healthcare organizations and systems to shift their focus to risk management that is integrated, rounded, and efficient in a changing healthcare environment is highlighted in this article.
