Thiscontributionpresentsanex-postevaluationoftheGirlsMaketheCity!project,aninitiativelaunchedinBrusselstoexplorethepotentialofyoungwomen’sempowermentininclusiveurbanregeneration.Situatedattheintersectionoffeministpractices,participatoryspatialtransformation,andcriticalpedagogy,theprojectaimedtoamplifythevoiceandagencyofadolescentgirlsinastructurallymarginalisedneighborhood.Theanalysisemployedanevolution-aryevaluationapproachgroundedintheoreticalprinciplesofintersectionality,TheoryofChange,andrealisticevaluation.Aqualitativeframeworkwasrecon-structedex-postbyanalysingthecasestudy.Sixkeyevaluativecriteriaemerged:activeengagementofdiversegroups,collectivere-significationofpublicspace,transferabilityofacquiredcompetences,emergenceofcross-groupdialoguesandalliances,durabilityofspatialtransformation,andurbancarepractices.Thesedimensionsreflecttransformativemechanismsrelevantforequity-orientedurbanpolicies.Theprojectdemonstrateshowfeministandparticipatorypracticescanserveaseffectiveleversforurbanregeneration,advancingspatialjusticeandinclu-sion.Theadoptionofadaptiveandcontext-sensitiveevaluationframeworksisessentialtomakevisiblethesocialandculturalimpactsofsuchinitiativesandtoinformfutureurbanstrategies.
