The exposure to radon and its progeny represents the largest dose contribution received by the public and workers indoors. Some workplaces, due to their position in relation to the earth's crust, can be characterized by very high average annual radon activity concentration in the air. In this study, the risk of exposure to radon indoor at the workplaces of "Acqua Bene Comune (ABC)” Company in Naples is evaluated, and the annual effective dose received by the workers of this company is evaluated.

Abstract

The exposure to radon and its progeny represents the largest dose contribution received by the public and workers indoors. Some workplaces, due to their position in relation to the earth's crust, can be characterized by very high average annual radon activity concentration in the air. In this study, the risk of exposure to radon indoor at the workplaces of "Acqua Bene Comune (ABC)” Company in Naples is evaluated, and the annual effective dose received by the workers of this company is evaluated.
