Geopolitica del mare: esplorazione geopolitica delle relazioni logistiche-marittime e di partenariato di Italia e Turchia con i porti africani [

Ports receiving investments and tenders should not be viewed merely through transport or geoeconomic lenses, but as geographic contexts of power transformation. Their outsourced management and logistic-maritime partnership constitute geopolitical forms of spatialised cooperation and penetration and not only transport joint ventures. This research investigates the nationality of companies bidding for port or terminal management as an indicator of the geopolitical profiling of Italy and Turkey, in areas such as North Africa and the Horn of Africa. The elaborated critical mapping highlights the implications of geographic contexts marked by conflict (e.g. Libya and Somalia) or by competing hegemonic aspirations and externally induced regionalisation.
