The experimental characterization of base material for a new generation of cold-formed steel beams is shown in this paper. A suitable methodology was developed to assess the influence of manufacturing process on material properties, namely rolling and cold work. On the basis of experimental results, an analytical model has been proposed to predict the imperfections produced by the rolling process.

Abstract
The experimental characterization of base material for a new generation of cold-formed steel beams is shown in this paper. A suitable methodology was developed to assess the influence of manufacturing process on material properties, namely rolling and cold work. On the basis of experimental results, an analytical model has been proposed to predict the imperfections produced by the rolling process.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
