The present work deals with the evaluation of Manual Material Handling (MMH) tasks, through the use of digital human models. The work gives evidence to well recognized limits in the evaluation of the risks due to MMH tasks and proposes a new approach to the risk evaluation. This new approach takes into account the worker behaviours belonging to different percentiles, the expended time and the covered distance during MMH activities.
