We consider the problem of joint equalization and narrowband interference (NBI) suppression in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Since the conventional zero-forcing (ZF) receiver does not assure satisfactory interference suppression capabilities in severe interference environments, we investigate the potential of the minimum mean-square-error (MMSE) receiver, evaluating in particular the advantage that can be achieved by exploiting the redundancy contained in the cyclic prefix of the OFDM signal.

Abstract
We consider the problem of joint equalization and narrowband interference (NBI) suppression in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Since the conventional zero-forcing (ZF) receiver does not assure satisfactory interference suppression capabilities in severe interference environments, we investigate the potential of the minimum mean-square-error (MMSE) receiver, evaluating in particular the advantage that can be achieved by exploiting the redundancy contained in the cyclic prefix of the OFDM signal.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
