Abstract
On south Italy regions the utilisation of natural resources and the increase of fodder production have been a characteristic guidance of animal production systems. The animal breeding were developed in the direction of transhumant system (ovine, caprine and bovine), and animals must try to provide self-help (food requirements, refuges habitats). Since 1968 only 16,000 hectares were protected in South Italy as the National Park of Calabria. After 1991 five new National Parks bringing about 598.201 hectares of south Italy territorial surface under conservation (10,31%).To maximise the positive and complementary future aspects of agriculture-breeding activities, and protection of natural and cultural diversities the E.U. ecological policy reforms suggests an agricultural environment conversion and preservation of rural amenities with the direct contribute of farmers and breeders.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
