What is the common image of young people put forward by the newspapers? How are they portrayed? And, above all, how do young people feel about the way newspapers represent their generation and the area they come from? These questions have led our media watchdog unit to undertake research to explore how the press is perceived by young people in Bagnoli, starting from the views of the young people themselves . The innovative nature of the research lies in the fact that the object of the study, young people, have put themselves in the place of the researchers by investigating firsthand the way in which their world is depicted by the media and, in particular, by the press. According to the research methodology employed, the young people/data gatherers were asked to read a selection of newspapers and then assess those articles that, either directly or indirectly, dealt with the issue of young people and the area of Bagnoli.

Abstract
What is the common image of young people put forward by the newspapers? How are they portrayed? And, above all, how do young people feel about the way newspapers represent their generation and the area they come from? These questions have led our media watchdog unit to undertake research to explore how the press is perceived by young people in Bagnoli, starting from the views of the young people themselves . The innovative nature of the research lies in the fact that the object of the study, young people, have put themselves in the place of the researchers by investigating firsthand the way in which their world is depicted by the media and, in particular, by the press. According to the research methodology employed, the young people/data gatherers were asked to read a selection of newspapers and then assess those articles that, either directly or indirectly, dealt with the issue of young people and the area of Bagnoli.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
