In this work a Single–Stage Multi–Product system managed using kanban board has been analyzed. Specifically, the aim is to build experimental curves representing the influence of specific production parameters of a manufacturing plant on designing a Supermarket Pull Kanban, in order to obtain a valuable tool to support strategic decisions. The approach chosen for the representation and the analysis of such system was the simulation on Siman – Arena environment, while OptQuest has been used for the next optimization phase.

Abstract

In this work a Single–Stage Multi–Product system managed using kanban board has been analyzed. Specifically, the aim is to build experimental curves representing the influence of specific production parameters of a manufacturing plant on designing a Supermarket Pull Kanban, in order to obtain a valuable tool to support strategic decisions. The approach chosen for the representation and the analysis of such system was the simulation on Siman – Arena environment, while OptQuest has been used for the next optimization phase.
