A new approach has been recently introduced to determinate the convex hull of radiating or scattering systems from field data and, till now, its performances have been only numerically tested in the case of metallic scatterers. This communication presents the results obtained by processing real world data in the scattering case, providing a more realistic analysis of the effectiveness of the method. Metallic as well as dielectric scatterers have been considered either in the linear or the circular scanning geometry. The analysis shows that a good estimate of the convex hull is achieved also in experimental cases.

Abstract
A new approach has been recently introduced to determinate the convex hull of radiating or scattering systems from field data and, till now, its performances have been only numerically tested in the case of metallic scatterers. This communication presents the results obtained by processing real world data in the scattering case, providing a more realistic analysis of the effectiveness of the method. Metallic as well as dielectric scatterers have been considered either in the linear or the circular scanning geometry. The analysis shows that a good estimate of the convex hull is achieved also in experimental cases.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
