In the human epidermoid lung cancer cells, H1355, the upregulation of eEF-1A intracellular content mediated by IFNa is associated with an increase in the phosphorylation of serine and threonine residues of the protein. This effect is mediated by C-Raf, and appears to play a pro-survival function.
