During the past several years, fuzzy set theory has emerged as one of the most promising approach for uncertainty analysis of a model; in fact, uncertainty in input parameters is characterized with a membership function, which represents the degree to which a parameter belongs to a set value. The paper deals with fuzzy set theory application to two of risk factors involved in landfill hazard assessment according to the USEPA’s HRS method.

Abstract
During the past several years, fuzzy set theory has emerged as one of the most promising approach for uncertainty analysis of a model; in fact, uncertainty in input parameters is characterized with a membership function, which represents the degree to which a parameter belongs to a set value. The paper deals with fuzzy set theory application to two of risk factors involved in landfill hazard assessment according to the USEPA’s HRS method.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
