There are only a handful of monuments in Marrakec. Perhaps this is because of the absence of the monuments, that were born in the “Red City” of the wonderful coral romance. It was made up of voices and melodies that start from Jamaa el Fna Square and reaches the heart of the city Medina. Here were born those wonderful riads. They are shown as the hearth of life in Marrakech. The new Italian colonies, the French and the American, guru of international glamour, has transformed these houses in refined “maison d’hote” following the new style of Marrakech: less tinsels, mosaics and mother pearls, more designs and soft colors. All vary from economical to more luxuries ones. Gaia Luciano, who has a degree in Building Engineer- Architecture, proposed in her thesis The Project of a “villa” in Marrakech, with the principles of ecological architecture, with my help and with the collaboration of the “Studio Architetti Associati Arnaboldi & Partners”. This plan was a result of the request of the new costumers. They desired a plan with ecological elements capable to answer the new needs of Marocco’s tradition and culture. The plan of the villa is located in a golf resort in a territory nearby Marrakech. The golf resort is developed on an area of over 190 ha. is made up of many structures such as a club house, a golf field of 18 buche, covering an area of 70 ha. , and a five stars hotel, Hotel Park Hyatt, that has 130 rooms and suites. The whole area consists of 66 thousand square feet. The plan is that , 68 villas will be built near the hotel and will be put on sale. The aim of the thesis is planning the project of the villa. It will be situated on a flat area of 3700 square feet. It will consist of 3 floors and a cellar. It will also have a pool, tennis field, sauna, Turkish bath, massage cabins and a relaxation area. It will have a solarium, four guest suites, a garage and a gym. In this file we will be showing how the ecological principals will shape the plan of the villa.
