This contributed book is the outcome of a financing by University Federico II of Naples to encourage the start up of innovative researches. The research programme aimed at integrating disciplines of hydraulic engineering, agricultural, environmental, architectural design, construction technology, evaluation and planning in order to provide an appropriate approach to sustainable design and planning of urban open spaces, responding to the stresses that climate change, especially the increasingly extreme stormwater events, have been producing on urban contexts.
