The paper deals with the analysis of the seismic behaviour of masonry aggregates by means of a quick methodology, already implemented and experienced in previous works to historical centres of Campania Region, applied, in the framework of the post-seismic scenario of L’Aquila earthquake, to the historic centres of Poggio Picenze and San Pio delle Camere. Seismic vulnerability assessment and damage analysis of masonry building compounds have been performed, so obtaining a numerical correlation between vulnerability index and mean damage grade. In particular, a damage forecast under numerical way has been firstly estimated and then compared with the real one. The post-earthquake scenario has represented an ideal term of comparison for effectively testing the reliability of the employed technique. Finally, the comparison of results for two examined historical centres has evidenced a different structural behaviour of investigated masonry compounds under the same seismic action.

Abstract
