This paper describes the software named FRAME – Fragility-based Rapid seismic Risk AssessMEnt – v.1.0 . Its main objec ti ve is the worldwide assessment of structure-specific seismic risk, based on seismic hazard and fr agil it y functions, for a number of structural typologies. To this aim, the software includes worldwide seismic hazard estimates, a literature-based expandable fr agil it y curve inventory and damage-to-loss rela ti onships, allowing to translate the structural damage into an expected loss for both direct damage and business inte rr uption.

Abstract

This paper describes the software named FRAME – Fragility-based Rapid seismic Risk AssessMEnt – v.1.0 . Its main objec ti ve is the worldwide assessment of structure-specific seismic risk, based on seismic hazard and fr agil it y functions, for a number of structural typologies. To this aim, the software includes worldwide seismic hazard estimates, a literature-based expandable fr agil it y curve inventory and damage-to-loss rela ti onships, allowing to translate the structural damage into an expected loss for both direct damage and business inte rr uption.
