Lombardy is the Italian region where the foreign presence is the most numerous and show a process of settlement. Keeping in mind the relevant literature, we apply a event history approach to data coming from 2010 ORIM Survey to describe, in a gender perspective, how the migration event affects the couples’ reunification process. The results show that reunification patterns and timing are not only shaped by gender, but also by citizenship and religion.
