I Drivers nella valutazione della Resilienza urbana: il quartiere San Lorenzo di Napoli

Social, economic, environmental changes in the world are so important that undermine the existing urban organization. The crisis with which the city now has to fight concern both social, economic, environmental, urban, safety and health processes. The paper deals with the issue of ethnic city crisis in the XXI century. The focus of the research is part of the proposal of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the UN General Assembly in September 2009. It deals with the drama of "Ethnic Urban Crises", in agreement with the objectives of the Culture Program of the European Union. The paper reflects about the variables that affect urban transformations induced by migration in a neighborhood of the historic center of Naples. The absence of an institutional project, designed to provide conditions for a new multicultural community creates an ever-changing urban image that changes spontaneously based on practices carried out by migrants . In the objective of designing a strategy for a multicultural integration, the research develops a methodology based on the concept of Resilience, such as on the capacity of urban systems to adapt to changes in a way compatible with the evolution of the society, preserving and reinforcing the characteristics that give it character and identity.
