Abstract
Technological evolution and scientific research in the sector of building pathologies produced by moisture still facing the theme of rising damp, without defining a definitive solution. Traditional methods have shown some limits for application and capabilities, especially in the cultural heritage area. The aim to act exclusively on the masonry has determined, on different levels, the limit of restoration interventions. Since a few years enterprise research at Leonardo Solution s.r.l. proposes the method T.N.C. (Charge neutralization technology) that, inverting the traditional methodological approach, offers a system that acts only on the electrical behavior of water, by inhibiting the polarization of the molecule under the effect of the electric field between the soil and the masonry. In order to verify the performance level of the interventions with the T.N.C. the authors conducted an experimental research aimed to analyze the trend of rising inside very thick walls. The paper presents the research in progress, the content, survey and verification methods, proposing considerations for further analysis.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
