The municipalities of the “Baia di Napoli” represent a territorial, geographical, environmental, economic, social and cultural environment in which different resources that identify complex values, sometimes in conflict, and specificities, in many cases isolated or fragmented, coexist. They often consist of sea towns which, in different ways, have activated systems of uses and relationships with the coastal and port areas, becoming catalysts of economic and cultural processes, where comparing lifestyles and development patterns. However, natural resources consumptions and pollutants generation, with the increasing of intensive land-use, contribute to compromise the complex ecological equilibrium and to change or destroy the specific local characters. In this perspective, the paper analyzes some environmental, social and economic components of the municipalities of “Baia di Napoli”, elaborating suitable spatial indicators. The concepts of “vulnerability” and “resilience” are declined in three important dimensions: environmental, social and economic vulnerability; environmental, social and economic resilience. In this way, carrying out a Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) in GIS environment, it was possible to elaborate synthetic maps, able to explain respectively territorial vulnerability and resilience of the Naples metropolitan area.

Abstract
In this way, carrying out a Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) in GIS environment, it was possible to elaborate synthetic maps, able to explain respectively territorial vulnerability and resilience of the Naples metropolitan area.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
