Abstract
At the end of his autobiography (100b-d), even if he is pointing out a method of his own, Socrates introduces the theory of Forms as something already known, οὐδὲν καινόν, and much discussed, εἶμι πάλιν ἐπ' ἐκεῖνα τὰ πολυθρύλητα (100b1-5). A clear signal that Plato, even at his most doctrinal, never alters the essential hallmark of Socrates' mask: his sincere reliance on external sources.File in questo prodotto:
