Il bios di Platone nelle lezioni dei Neoplatonici Alessandrini

This paper aims at stressing the most striking characteristic of the Neoplatonic biographies on Plato. Although their sources seem to be restricted to the anecdotal tradition, the Neoplatonists do not draw attention to the question of the historicity of this material: they prefer to establish links between it and specific passages of the dialogues in order to demonstrate that Plato is a divine man and the true servant of Apollo.
