The breakdown of the aerodynamic force in physical components is an important topic for the aerodynamic designer. In this article an analysis of the state-of-art on the breakdown of the aerodynamic force is proposed, the potentiality and the critical issues of the far field methods are shown. The post-processing of Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) solutions is reported in order to compare the breakdown obtained using different methods.

Abstract
The breakdown of the aerodynamic force in physical components is an important topic for the aerodynamic designer. In this article an analysis of the state-of-art on the breakdown of the aerodynamic force is proposed, the potentiality and the critical issues of the far field methods are shown. The post-processing of Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) solutions is reported in order to compare the breakdown obtained using different methods.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
