This paper deals with the wooden vault of the church of Santa Maria Egiziaca all'Olmo, interlacing historical data with outcomes of field research through an interdisciplinary work. The study analyses the individual parts composing the vault through the critical reading of documents preserved in the Neapolitan archives, a series of comparisons with other coeval wooden vaults and the analysis of the results of the geometric survey.
