Abstract
Many are the definitions that are commonly taken today to describe the meaning of the transformations and the constant process of hybridization, that increasingly characterizes the historical urban settings. This scenario expands the field of representation research, especially for what concern the documentation of the built urban environment, in response to a cultural sensibility diffused, directing, on the base of the knowledge of morphological and metric urban palimpsest, the transformation of the territory and the protection, preservation and enhancement of historic estate. In defining the uses and compatible transformations of the territory, it’s necessary to investigate the methods and techniques of knowledge representation of the city in its” thickness”. It’s possible by layering partial and / or stratigraphic readings, as in the case of the historic center of Naples, recounting the process of expansion of the city and to prefigure compatible choices for the development, involving several components of the same image of the city (XVI-XIX century) and for a sensitive urban design that takes into account the historical analysis.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
