Abstract

-We consider the design of the space-time waveforms and receive filters in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) dual-function radar-communication (DFRC) system employing an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and a differential phase shift keying modulation (DPSK). We propose to optimize the pth power mean of the radar signal-tointerference-plus-noise ratios on each subcarrier, with p ::; 1, under constraints on the transmit power, the beampattern level towards specific directions, and the error rate. We devise a suboptimal solution based on alternating optimization of the involved variables and a convex restriction of the search set. Finally, performance is inspected through numerical examples
