La solitudine e la comunicazione. Orizzonti esistenziali

The paper aims to explore the centrality of the relational dimension in personal life, starting from an investigation characterised by the synthesis of phenomenological, existentialist and personalist horizons, with references to Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Martin Buber and, in particular, to Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Emmanuel Mounier and Karl Jaspers. Starting from the reference to the search for meaning as a fundamental and always topical dimension of philosophical-phenomenological enquiry, as Sandro Mancini’s research path shows, the work delves into the existential meaning of the solitude-community binomial, the I-Thou relationship in its various forms, the centrality of existential communication and its own fragility, and the role of love. This in order to grasp the human condition in its origin, and in its tension towards unity, which, beyond the irrepressible fragmentation, also becomes a commitment to an ever-new community to be built in history.
