The following paper investigates the archaeological site potential role in a complex peripherical context through the Roman villa C. Olius Ampliatus located in the Lotto O in Ponticelli. The district is the DiARC case study for the HERA PUSHousing research. The ruin is part of a complex system made by barrieres and enclosures. It appears as a hidden remain enclosed in its wall, failing in its role of urban identity marker and loosing this publicness opportunity.
