The paper aims to present the results of the archaeological survey in the Fiora lower floodplain (munici- pality of Ischia di Castro and Canino, Viterbo, Italy) led by a team of the Department of Humanities of the University of Napoli Federico II. The purpose of the research program is to contribute to the archaeological knowledge of the territory north to the Etruscan city of Vulci, through the diachronic reading of the trans- formations of the settlement patterns, from Prehistory to the contemporary Age. The collected legacy data and the results of the archaeological survey have been inserted in a geo-database, according to the standards of the Central Institute for Archeology for the National Geoportal (GNA). The surveys allowed to recognize several archaeological records dispersal areas probably pertaining to Prehistoric and Protohistoric settlements, to Archaic and Roman age rural sites, as well as settlements of the Medieval age.

Abstract
The surveys allowed to recognize several archaeological records dispersal areas probably pertaining to Prehistoric and Protohistoric settlements, to Archaic and Roman age rural sites, as well as settlements of the Medieval age.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
