Fusarium oxysporum is a saprophyte parasite that can infect many crop species inducing severe yield loss in agricultural production. For this reason, its control in the soils is a very significant topic and great efforts from the scientific community are focused on this goal. The aim of this work was to study the die-off of Fusarium oxysporum after microwave heating. A set of experiments have been carried out on a saline solution mimicking soils conductivity properties and considering different fungus concentrations. The results obtained show a great efficacy of the treatment, with a die-off greater than 90% already at 70°C temperature.

Abstract
Fusarium oxysporum is a saprophyte parasite that can infect many crop species inducing severe yield loss in agricultural production. For this reason, its control in the soils is a very significant topic and great efforts from the scientific community are focused on this goal. The aim of this work was to study the die-off of Fusarium oxysporum after microwave heating. A set of experiments have been carried out on a saline solution mimicking soils conductivity properties and considering different fungus concentrations. The results obtained show a great efficacy of the treatment, with a die-off greater than 90% already at 70°C temperature.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
