This study focuses on the efficient management of infrastructure information using BIM (Building Information Modelling) models. With a specific emphasis on the assessment and maintenance of bridges, it examines the impact of using level of information need (LoIN) in BIM models and defines data schemas for guidelines related to bridge management. The paper highlights the definition of I-BIM models and interoperability. Applicability is demonstrated through an I-BIM digital model case study and the verification of information delivered.

Abstract

This study focuses on the efficient management of infrastructure information using BIM (Building Information Modelling) models. With a specific emphasis on the assessment and maintenance of bridges, it examines the impact of using level of information need (LoIN) in BIM models and defines data schemas for guidelines related to bridge management. The paper highlights the definition of I-BIM models and interoperability. Applicability is demonstrated through an I-BIM digital model case study and the verification of information delivered.
