Starting from the ongoing research experience Man.tra, based on the dialogue between scientific research and a museum institution, the contribution intends to expose the methodological approach adopted, aimed at defining a model of interdisciplinary and multidimensional knowledge of the museum complex, able to support the framework of the choices of conservation and restoration interventions, compatibly with its historical specificities and the stratified architectural and urban values.
