The recently edited The Oxford Handbook of phenomenologies and organization studies looks at the world of phenomenologies as they apply to the world of organizations while focusing on both the theoretical tension and its relevance for scholars of Management and Organization Studies (MOS). In this review, I concentrate on the concept of ‘circularity’ and of ‘precession’ to show how philosophy can arise from the bottom of practices and ultimately reveal itself as a practice, as the editors of this Handbook suggest.

Abstract
The recently edited The Oxford Handbook of phenomenologies and organization studies looks at the world of phenomenologies as they apply to the world of organizations while focusing on both the theoretical tension and its relevance for scholars of Management and Organization Studies (MOS). In this review, I concentrate on the concept of ‘circularity’ and of ‘precession’ to show how philosophy can arise from the bottom of practices and ultimately reveal itself as a practice, as the editors of this Handbook suggest.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
