This paper has two main objectives. Firstly, it aims to verify whether and to what extent the use of artificial intelligence can improve the efficiency of a judicial office by allowing for a faster scan of legal precedents, thus speeding up the decision-making process. On the other hand, the use of AI could grant immediate files re-organization in the phases of a legal proceeding which follow the judgment of the Court of First Instance. Secondly, it aims to outline an intelligent system capable of achieving this goal while respecting fundamental rights and rules on the circulation and protection of personal data. The methodology here proposed is based on a qualitative research approach. Inspired by the studies proposed by Miles, Huberman and Saldaña, data analysis has been carried out at the same time that data were collected.
