MAPIT–GIS: Un modello per l’analisi della dimensione materiale del patrimonio identitario territoriale basato sulle tecniche GIS

The theme of youth well–being and the quality of life of young individuals is foregrounded as a pivotal element within the agenda of national policies, assuming a substantial role in the observation and analysis of potential risks, par- ticularly those associated with social exclusion, as well as employment and leisure opportunities within the urban milieu. This contribution has developed a distinct framework for analysing the material dimension of territorial identity, applied within the Municipality of Catanzaro. The objective is to delineate a “map of neighbourhoods”, that is, a territorial sub- division by recognising historical, morphological, cultural, and identity features with the aid of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), instrumental in devising solutions capable of providing decision–making support to local government administrations.
