This Bulletin is a Guide to Good Practice on the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in construction. The Bulletin was prepared by fib Task Group 1.7 “Construction”. The BIM technology had a growing importance in the construction industry and in a wide number of Civile Engineering applications BIM procedure were adopted at different stages of the process, from design to construction and maintenance. The bulletin clarifies all the aspects related to the BIM definitions, illustrates the different phases, the objectifies and the use. The presence of a series of case studies is very important for the readers. The document is a useful technical tool for all the figures involved in the construction process, from designers to clients.
