Abstract
The essay discusses some of the arguments put forward in Simon Susen’s monograph "Sociology in the Twenty-First Century. Trends, Debates and Challenges" (2020) and seeks to determine whether and to what extent Max Weber’s sociological investigations are, more or less consciously, characterized by an Eurocentric bias, as various postcolonial and decolonial sociological theories suggest. In this complex and problematic context, particular attention is given to a Weberian text from around 1910 (i.e. the earliest phase of the drafting of "Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft"), entitled "Machtprestige und Nationalgefühl" by the editors of the critical edition.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
